PD Session 10: Personal Learning Networks
Definition according to the dictionary: A personal learning network is an informal learning network that consists of the people a learner interacts with and derives knowledge from in a personal learning environment. Personal Learning Networks (PLNs) are online (and face-to-face) groups of people who you support in their learning and they also support you in your learning. Social media has provided rich opportunities for learning with tools like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Come to the session and discuss building and leveraging PLNs to support your professional growth and personal goals. Session attendance will be recorded and you will receive a certificate for the number of hours you attend throughout the year. Great for teaching license renewal. Come to The Zone and get your PD on!
